Valley of Flowers National Park is a National Park of India, located in West Himalaya, is known for its meadows of endemic Alpine flowers and the variety of flora. It is also home to rare and endangered animals including Asiatic Black Bear, Snow Leopard, Red Fox, Musk Deer, Brown Bear and Blue Sheep. Variety of birds is also present here (mainly high altitude birds). The gentle landscapes of the Valley of Flowers National Park complement the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park to the east. Together they make a unique transition zone between the mountain range of Zanskar and great Himalaya. Area of the park is 87.5 square kilometer and it is about 8 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide.
