The Hilley – Versey trail is ablaze with a riot of colors created by many species of Rhododendrons blooming across the valley during March and April. Versey is called the Valley of Rhododendrons – as they are available in all shades and shapes here. The Rhododendron Sanctuary at Hilley Varsey is spread across an area of 140 square kilometers along the Singalila Ridge which forms the natural boundary between India and Nepal.
The trek from Hilley to Varsey is about 4 kilometer and the path bridled with flora and fauna. Walking along the Singalila, you will be greeted with glorious views of the Kanchenjunga Range.
Rinchenpong area is the buffer zone of Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. There we can visit Rinchenpong Monastery, Poison Lake etc.
